You can try re-flashing the firmware of the router then do factory reset. The links below may help out.

I am having the same issue. I can get on the 5.GHZ network, but the 2.4 will not connect at all. I have only had the router since December 2016 and it just started to fail yesterday on the 2.4 GHz side. Any device that attempts to connect to the 2.4Ghz network. I upgraded to the latest Firmare the .22 version then factory reset and that didn't work. Downgraded to the .20 version after the initial release and that factory reset and that didn't work either. I am at a loss and neet help with this issue. I expect way more from Netgear. Please help me if you can or can offer any other assistance.

Hi Ron3184,
1. Does the issue persist on all your devices that can connect to the 2.4GHz?
2. Have you tried changing the wireless channel?
3. Are your devices able to connect to the network but are unable to go online or they won't connect at all?
