You could turn the R6400 into a wireless access point. Then just turn the wifi off with the switch on the top.
Is there a way that I can still use the Readyshare in the Nighthawk in order to use the USB port on the Nighthawk as a network drive?
I see no sign that AP mode disables ReadySHARE.
Disabled Features on the Router when set to AP Mode | Answer | NETGEAR Support
But you'll have to try it.

PS There really was no need to waste anyone'e time by going to a different section to deal with this issue. The question is generic and the answer would be the same for the Nighthawk section as it is for this one.

Yes it is the same issue. I tried the AP setting and it did not work. Thanks for your help.
