R6400 WiFi "incorrect" Password Issue (both freq & wired) Random Occurence

I've searched and found similiar, but not quite the same - I beleive, issue:

 

My router occasionally blocks internet to both wired and WiFi connected devices. Both 2.4 and 5 Ghz Wifi. Devices stay connected, but no internet available. If you try to disconnect and rejoin the WiFi you get the 'Incorrect Password' error even when we know the password is correct. Wired computers ALSO lose internet but I am able to log into the Admin CP.

 

A reboot of the router clears this issue and everything is fine again.

 

This has happened a handful of times over the last year, but has started to happen more than once daily recently (in the last week or so) and I am not sure what the root cause or solution is to be.

  • I am having the same issue and only unplugging and plugging it back in fixes it. It’s now degraded to happening 1-2 times a day. I hope Netgear can offer some advice. Some form of this issue has been happening for over 4 years based on forum posts

      Still happens regularly.

      Shopping for a new router now, not a Netgear
