R6400v2 Protection

I receive emails from Kim Kamando and trust her.  Recently a email from Kim said that the 6400 router has been found to allow bad guys to take it over or somthing like that. I lost the email so I am asking you to advise of any thing I should do to update my 6400. One thing she said was to change the password.  Can you help me with this?

You can change the SSID password at any time. Found on the routers web management page with a wired PC and web browser pointed at 192.168.1.1 on the Basic tab/Wireless settings.
