R6400v2 Slow LAN/Fast WiFi speeds
Just upgraded routers yesterday from the N600 to the AC1750 to accomodate my ISP's new faster internet speeds (200 Mbps). When I finally got the router configured, I am getting around 90 Mbps on an ethernet cable and around 180 Mbps on the 5G channel on my phone. When I plug the ethernet cable directly into the modem, I am getting 208 Mbps. All of my settings in the Netgear Genie are set to allow 1000 Mbps and when I check the properties of the network connection, it's showing it's set to 1 gigabit.
The router updated itself to the most recent firmware when I set it up. Not sure if that has any effect.
MOBO: Asus Z170 Pro Gaming
CPU: i7 7700k
OS: Windows 10
What gives?
Hi SteveBrule,
Welcome to the community!
You can try resetting the router to factory defaults and check if the issue persist.
