R6400v2 timeouts under 5GHz load

Hi all,

I am using r6400v2 router with latest firmware. I performed factory reset after upgrading.

When I start using 5GHz network it would loose packets because of timeouts. 2.4GHz is a lot better.

What can I do to fix the issue?

have you tried changing the channel its using? maybe there's interference.

    Do you have IPv6 enabled?

    What firmware did you install?
What modem/gateway is it connected to?

Did you have this issue before?

I am using 44 channel where, according to android app, is one more wifi running, so that should not be a problem. Changed to 56 without improvement.

      IPv6 disabled.

      V1.0.4.126_10.0.102 firmware.

It's connected to ISP modem - GPON ONT H640G

I believe that the issue was not as much noticeable before, but I often had issues with wifi.

Strangely 2.4GHz/LAN network works as expected.

      My test is:

      - Keep ping 8.8.8.8 -t in the background

      - Start speedtest

      - Once speedtest starts there are Request timed out messages in the terminal

      - Once speedtest completes, there are no request timed out messages in terminal.

try the 149+ channels. 56 is a dfs channel.

did you try a factory reset?
