Region disabled after Wireless Setting 1st time
After I first setup my R6400/AC1750 I see in the Wireless settings the region is "Canada" but disabled.
I am able to setup a new SSID and password but after I apply this the disabled region dropdown is now reads "--select region---" and now if I try to make any Wireless setting changes I get the error message "please select the correct regoin for your location".
This is clearly a bug in the fireware and I have have tried couple firmwares all the ways to the latest V1.0.1.26_1.0.19.
PLEASE HELP, or I am returning this router.
Hi d4rrell,
1. Have you tried resetting the router? If not, please do. The link below may help out.

2. Does changing the timezone under Advanced > Security > Schedule make a difference?

I am having the same issue with the latest firmware for the R6400 wirless router. You are only allowed to make one wireless setting change before the region drop down menu is grayed out and region is revised to "--- Select Region ---". You cannot make further changes to region and applying changes to any of the wireless settings are not possible - a popup is displayed with the following message: "Please select the correct region for your location".I have tried as you suggested to change the time zones - no luck. Region selection is still grayed out in wireless settings. The only superficial solution is to either perform the hard reset (as suggested) but once you change the settings one time the region is grayed out again and no subsequent changes can be made. Also reverting back to previous firmware will fix the issue but once it is updated to the latest the problem is back.
I would think this is firmware issue. Does Netgear provide a submission form to report firmware bugs/issues?
