Replacement for R6400
So I have determined my usb 3 port on my router is shot, usb 2 works fine. I have factory reset the router, tried another cable, tried another storage device, even installed ddwrt, none of them will ...
Called up netgear, they refused to honor the warranty because the hard drives I use aren't on their compatibility list, even though they worked fine for the past 10 months and works fine on the usb 2 port. Company is just garbage and won't be buying from them again in the future.
The readyshare function has worked fine until recently, so not sure about it being garbage. But it's not a matter of windows not detecting it, it's a matter of any firmware I use won't see it in the firmware settings. But pull it out and put it in the usb 2 port and it instantly works. Also I tried the website, and when I clicked the 'replace defective product" button I was pushed to a screen telling me I had to buy support.
