resetting frequency for a r6400

was told by arlo need to reset frequency on my netgear 192.168.1.1  set at 2.4 ghz reason went to charge batteries when pui back cameras were not conected tried to re boot and anything else thet said to try cameras would come on for less thrn half an hour then not conected. if you have other ideas will listen other wise how to i change frequency shoulld have lasted firm ware as when i tried to download would not run
