What led you to that conclusion? Those files are interpreted by your
(unspecified) router, not anything on your computer OS. All you should
need to load one into a router is a web browser. Perhaps: ADVANCED >
Administration > Firmware Update : Locate and select the upgrade file on
your hard disk.:
If you don't already have it, then visit http://netgear.com/support ,
put in your model number, and look for Documentation. Get the User
Manual. Look for "firmware".
