Router Is Refusing To port Foward

About a week ago my router was working fine without any issues. However after a firmware update I was unable to port forword on any port(No matter the number of the port). They are all the same as they were previously and still match my IPv4 adress. However whenever I try to ping the ports via a site like https://www.portchecktool.com/ I get the error message "xProblem!  I could not see your service on 8.20.xxx.xx on port (25565).
Reason: Connection timed out." I have never had this problem with port forwarding in the past and dont know what could have caused this. If you need any photos or information to help, I will be more than happy to provide you with what you need as soon as possible.

       Maker?  Model number?  Look for "Model" on the product label.

       If you believe that the firmware update caused the problem, then you
    might try a settings reset and manual reconfiguration.  When that fails,
    load the older firmware, and try again.


       Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
    for Downloads.  (For older versions, under Firmware and Software
    Downloads, look for "View Previous Versions".)  Find the kit(s).
    Download the kit(s) you want.  Read the "Release Notes" file for
    instructions.  (In the User Manual, look for "firmware", and,
    especially, for a topic like "Manually Upload Firmware to the Router".)
