Router login problem

I've logged into my routers many times. Always kept notes on my login info.

Anyhoo, I am having trouble logging in to my router. Stating wrong login. Yes I am on the Wi-Fi network. Yes I've tried routerlogin.com and routerlogin.net.

I've done cancel, for the forgot password screen. Entered serial number from router. Saved NEW password. Received the screen, use your new info for login next time.

I try it and it says DENIED (login). 🙄😅

Anyone have an idea what is going on? It's usually simple and I've always used Netgear Routers.

My last resort is to use a paperclip to reset the router.
