Router stopped detecting USB storage

I used to connect a 1TB HDD drive with my Netgear R6120 a year ago and it was working fine. Recently when I tried to connect it again its not recognising the USB drive.

A couple things I tried:

1. I connected my other External Hard drives but none of them are connecting.
2. I went to Windows Features and enabled SMB 1.0 and restarted my computer and I'm getting the same error.

3. I tried using another PC (which is also Win10)

4. Update Windows and Router to the latest version

All of these times the ReadySHARE icon says No USB Drive but the light on the drive blinks (but the disk doesnt rotate i.e. doesnt make that noise it usually makes when connected to the laptop)

Thanks in advance for looking into this.

Does the USB drive work as expected when you connect it to a Windows PC with no router to get in the way?
