Which Netgear devices are these? The model numbers?
AC1200 is not a reliable guide to model number. Many devices come with an AC tag, but it is essentially a label that Netgear, and other brands, attach to hardware to describe wifi speeds.
Look at the label on the device for the model number.
By the way, AC1200 is a pretty ancient wifi standard that dates back to around 2013 in Netgear's routers. ("AX" became the range a while back.) But it should still work.
Don’t ask me if Ive power cycled the router/modem I’ve unplugged and plugged back in both machines more times than I can count by this point.
But did you do it in the right order?
