Satellite offline on Orbi app

I continually have issues accessing the Orbi App but for some reason I was able to access it today. It highlighted that one of my two satellites is offline. I synced this satellite and initially I had a solid magenta led which switched to solid blue and now no colour...so I assume working? However on the App it still shows this satellite as offline. The app also says I need to update firmware, but am reluctant to do if one of the satellites is offline as I am concerned they will get out of step and cause more problems! 

Any thoughts on best approach here to get my satellite back on line.
