Set Up N300 as Access Point
I have an old RangeMax Duo Wireless-N Router (WNDR3300) and I want to use it as an Access Point, as the Wi-Fi signal upstairs in my house is poor.
I want to be able to do the following:-
- Connect to it from my existing router via ethernet (is it WAN to LAN or LAN to LAN or LAN to WAN)
- Connect from it via ethernet to a laptop
- Connect to it for Wi-Fi (upstairs)
Ideally, I would like step-by-step instructions (I'm technically knowledgeable, but need some hand-holding)
Thanks,
Tommy

WNDR3300[v1] or WNDR3300v2? Look for "Model" on the product label.
(But they're both so old that it might not matter).Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your (actual) model number,
and look for Documentation. Get the User Manual (at least). Read.
Look for "access point". If you find nothing useful, then see, for
example:https://community.netgear.com/t5/x/x/m-p/1463500
That's written for a Netgear C6300-as-WAP, but the steps are about the
same for any other router (any make/model) which lacks a one-step WAP
option. If the router which you're reconfiguring has a WAN/Internet
Ethernet port (unlike a Cxxxx), then leave it unconnected.
