set up router wnr200v3 without internet
At the moment I have a laptop controlling a Behringer X32 sound mixer via wired ethernet. The plan is to use wnr2000v3 to provide wireless access for laptops/phones as well as keeping the wired lap...
Success.
Managed to do it by setting another laptop to fixed IP address then plugging it into Wan port .
Now it lets me past the Wan set up screen even with the Wan port dis-connected.
Strange but good to know.

What if you did setup with internet and then disconnect it? You could even move it to another location, after the initial setup it should give a ****** weather or not it has a WAN connection.

Yes I was holding back on doing as you suggested for fear of messing something up on my home system.
I've since discovered that I would also need a seperate ADSL modem to do this.
Looks like its time to get another router.

Not really.... connect wan port to home router lan port....People do this all the time....since you're not going to be using it for Interent It shouldn't matter.
Which ip address is used for this router ( http://192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1
