I am trying to get my R6400 router in the bridge mode by following the directions of the manual and it does not seem to work. Is there something else that needs to be done before I go to the bridge m...

"R6400"? "R6400v2"? Look at the product label. Firmware version?

Which "the directions", in which "the manual"?
"trying"? What, exactly, did you do?

"seem"? How, exactly, did you reach this conclusion?
As usual, showing actual actions with their actual results (error
messages, LED indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague
descriptions or interpretations.

What is your "the ISP router [modem]" (MOdulator/DEModulator)?

The R6400 should get a different LAN IP address when you configure it
in bridge mode. (What else do you "know" that isn't so?)
Does your (unspecified) "the ISP router [modem]" have something like
an "Attached Devices" or "DHCP Clients" report where the R6400-as-bridge
might be expected to appear? Does it appear there?
