Setting up my R6400 in bridge mode.
I am trying to get my R6400 router in the bridge mode by following the directions of the manual and it does not seem to work. Is there something else that needs to be done before I go to the bridge m...

What does bridge mode mean in this context? The term can describe various scenarios, including using a device with "WDS" (Wireless Distribution System) as a wifi repeater. I see no suggestion that this is possible with R6400s.

Bridge mode pretty obviously refers to the entry in chapter 10 of the R6400 user manual entitled "Set Up the Router in Bridge Mode." The intent is to wirelessly connect a second router in a different room to the main router so that non-wifi devices can connect to the second router by ethernet and thus access the LAN when they would otherwise be unable to do so without a bunch of dongles. I asked a very similar question a number of months ago and received very similar "whater you talkin bout" responses which helped not at all. It's right there in the user manual. In my case the bridge mode worked initially but quit after about a week. I could not find any assistance anywhere so eventually gave up. Sorry I can't help, Tomas. Hope you have better luck.
