Are you still experiencing the issue?
If yes:
1. Have tried resetting the router after the update?
2. What is the exact firmware version of the router?
3. What speed are you getting wired from the router?
4. What speed are you getting wired from the ISP's modem?

WNDR3400v3 - intermittently drops connection to internet
Have had this router a while now without any problems whatsoever. Since purchasing a smart TV, the modem has been dropping the connection at random intervals. Tried firmware update - no improvement. The only other thread I found about this mentions that the device might need restarting with 'heavy usage'. The device has now been restarted 50 more times in the past few weeks than the entire year before it. So, is this alleged heavy usage the likely culprit? If so, is a new router the only solution?
