You're wanting an AC device?
Not an AX device?
What are you using it for that you need access controls? You can also check on amazon for netgear renewed devices.

Thanks for the prompt reply.
Hmm...well I suspect there are no work arounds with configuration changes etc..
Looks like I either live with it (without AC and lower bandwidth), or upgrade to a another router with greater capacity etc...
BTW...your comment about QaS enable was spot on as it had the same result on lower bandwidth as AC enabled.
Turning off AC and QaS got me back to 5-600Mps after a reboot of the modem...
Can you recommend a Netgear router which might accomodate that increased bandwidth with AC and Block new divices and QaS.
Thank again...
Mick

I've a tenant using my ISP encrypted TSK account, 2.4 and 5G and I want to be able to control his access and that of others that attempt to use my IP in case somebody does something illegal (just the usual death threats etc. etc;) that might be traced back to my IP so I have a record of the MAC on their device etc...for proof.
So what are the specs I should be looking for in a router upgrade to deal with this issue. If you can, an Amazon.com link would be most helpful:)
Thanks again,
Mick

You are asking for advice on something that is well beyond the scope of a place like this.
Even if I could answer your questions, I wouldn't. You are trying to exert controls that have nothing to do with router technology.
As we say to people who turn up here with help to control their kids' access to the Internet, their children are probably tech-smarter than their parents and will find ways around any attempts to control their Internet use.
If you are running your own ISP, then you need to look for business grade products.

Ha!
By tripping on your premise and sprawling on your conclusion...you have immediately disqualified your pompous, illogical and meandering opinion...
But thanks for your time...
