Trying to set up a Smart Home IoT VLAN on Netgear AC1750 R6400v2
I tried setting up separate VLANs on my Netgear AC1750 R6400v2, and lost all internet connectivity after enabling VLANs and rebooting. Is there a guide someplace that I can use to set this up? Or can someone recommend different hardware to achieve my goals?
I'm trying to make a VLAN where my wifi smart bulbs and smart relays cannot connect to the internet, only the smart home device, while the smart home device (ODROID running Home Assistant) has internet access. I'm assuming I'd achieve this with firewall rules. Then, I'd have another unrestricted VLAN for our computers and phones. Thank you in advance for any help!
VLAN on NG routers is only meant for specific purposes, like IPTV and some ISPs requiering it. It's not a full-blown VLAN setting and is very limited in what it can do.

Why?
What are you trying to achieve?
There may be better ways of getting there without having to mess around with VLANs.
