TURNING OFF ROUTER
WILL I HARM ROUTER IF I TURN IT OFF EACH NIGHT WHILE WE ARE SLEEPING, AND ON AGAIN IN MORNING.

It won't harm it at all just will take a minute or 2 to reconnect to the modem/internet.

I'm with wcalifas. It should do any harm, but there is a school of thought that says that constantly turning electronic stuff on and off can break it. This is because the on/off move is a shock the system. Leaving things on is more normal. The energy saved will be minimal. Modern stuff should be less prone to this behaviour, but why risk it?
If it is the wifi you want to turn off, many devices let you set a timetable for that. Or you can just press a wifi on/off switch on the thing.
Some people don't like all those LEDs on at night. Again, there are settings for this on some devices.

The Light Bulb theory:
Light bulbs rarely fail when on. They mostly fail when turned on. I apply this to most of my electronics.
