Unable to upgrade firmware on WNR2000V5 from V1.0.0.20 to V1.0.0.34

I've read through the forms on the on going issues people are facing trying to upgrade their firmware on WNR2000V5 to V1.0.0.34.   Presently I am trying to upgrade WNR2000V5 via the "WNR2000v5-V1.0...

Hi Elaine,

 

I tried upgrading the firmware two ways:

 

(1) http://kb.n

etgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/19841/~/reinstall-the-firmware-on-a-router-without-the-setup-cd-recovery-tool

 

Results:

The "tftp2.exe" tried 3 times and could not connect.

 

(2) http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/22688/~/how-to-upload-firmware-to-a-wndr3700v2-router-using-tftp

 

Results:

-Firmware upgraded in under 30 seconds. The power led will blink  but the wifi will not turn on.

-reboot the system after 10 minutes and noticed that firmware did ot upgrade.

 

Any other feedback?

 

P.S. I did set , My local network adddress to 192.168.1.10 .

    Received replacement router from netgear today with firmware 1.0.0.28. Upgraded from the fireware file I had on my harddrive to 1.0.0.38. So far non of my 4 devices is disconneting.
