use R6080 as wireless bridge to connect to other wireless networks

Question

Newbie to the community, Hi all!&nbsp;I would like info on whether or not the R6080 can be used to connect to other wireless network via wifi and what the process might be.&nbsp;

Additional info:My plan is to use 2 R6080s, one in the house and one in a motorhome to allow connectivity when home. And then be able to connect to wifi at campgrounds with the one in the motorhome when away. This will afford me the ability to use our laptops, cell phones(on wifi), and the Echo Dot for voice commands in both situations.

Thank you for the info, so far.&nbsp;So, I needed to replace an old wireless router and bought 2 of the R6080s thinking they would work out.&nbsp;My follow up question is now - can I return one, unopened and just get one "bridge" type unit for the motorhome? or do I need 2?Also is a "wifi range extender" the same as a "bridge" unit?&nbsp;

Only you know the deal with whoever sold you the thing.

It is not a good idea to try to use two routers side by side. Too many headaches in the making.

There is&nbsp; no such things as a "bridge" unit. That a label used to describe various different functions.

Start with what you want to achieve. Your home and away scenarios are very different.
&nbsp;
A lot depends on how these on the road wifi systems work. I'd lay money on different campgrounds have a variety of different Internet technologies. It might be hard to find a one size fits all solution.
