WGR614 v6 cannot get webinterface to work
When going through old stuff still in my collection I found a piece WGR614 v6, it had been configured LAN 10.0.0.2 and a WLAN, as written on a label on it. Once I could get access to it with the IP 10.0.0.2 at a LAN port - everything looked normal.
Next day I tried to get access at the WAN-port with 10.0.0.2 and 192.168.1.1 - none worked.
So again at a LAN port with 10.0.0.2 - did not work any more.
Factory reset done - according to manual power LED should start to blink, but never did so.
Then at LAN port 192.168.1.1 gave a ping response, but no web interface in the browser.
Error message:
404 - File or directory not found.
The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.
and the URL had changed to
https://www.routerlogin.com/welcome.htm
I tried to install firmware again with TFTPD but was not successful. Error messages always that firmware fil xyz.chk cannot be read.
I know this is an outdated piece but it annoys me very personally I cannot make it run....
Any idea what I can try?

Problem solved, though I am not sure, why.
I changed to my old laptop with still Windows 10 and followed https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0K8sVuCrPt4, which used tftp2.exe
Although this method also showed no signs of success, i.e., no message indicating successful firmware writing to the router, it somehow restored life to the router when accessed in the browser with 192.168.1.1 on a LAN port. Once or twice there was "file missing" when going to a page but eventually everything worked as before.
