What modem do I need for R6250 - I didn't realised I'd need one!
I bought a Netgear R6250 at Christmas and have only just got round to opening the box. The instructions say to connect it to your modem but I don't have a modem, only the free router that TalkTalk sen...

What is the make and model # of your talk talk router. I'm guessing it's a wireless modem router that uses mobile data. If that's true then use r6250 in AP Mode connected to your TT

I just wanted to replace my existing router with one that reaches all over my house as the connection drops out when trying to listen to music via wi-fi

OK. I'll try that. But don't know what AP mode is. Is it obvious when connecting?
The TalkTalk router doesn't have a make mentioned on it but it is modem/router.
