Wifi router no internet
My question concerns Model: Netgear WNR2000v5 N300 wifi router.
Suddenly yesterday morning, this wifi router stopped getting internet from my Cisco DPC3008 cable modem. No problems from ISP. Modem is working and will provide internet when connected directly to my PC via ethernet cable. But when connected to router, the internet LED on the router remains orange. It has turned green briefly a couple times, but that didn't last for more than a couple minutes, and even then no devices in my home could connect wirelessly.
I tried resetting modem and router and network resets. Nothing seems to work. No idea what could have caused it or how to fix it. I try resetting up the router and the internet lamp just never turns green.
Any help would be appreviated. I'm very confused and hopeless.

well first of all, that router is a rather old model. How long have you had it for? If you reset it and it still doesn't connect maybe that Internet port went bad and you'll have to get a new one. If the four LAN ports work on that router you can convert it into an access point later and will work with another router as the main router and that router as the access point. In my opinion its time to get something newer and save that one as an access point.
