WIRELESS DUAL BAND ROUTER Switching between 2.4g and 5g.
I created a different SSID name for the 2.4ghz but when I select that name from the wifi drop down it is never able to connect. I'm currently connected to the 5ghz network but I need to be able to use the 2.4ghz network to connect wirelessly to my epson printer. What needs to be done to switch between the two different networks?
Thanks!
Hmm, well, here are a few suggestions.
Passwords are case sensitive, so be sure to enter upper- and lower-case letters correctly.
Try changing the password to something simpler, just for testing purposes.
Use WPA2 security, but if you have an old device, then use WPA+WPA2 for compatibility.
Try changing the Wi-Fi channel. Occasionally, some devices will not work at certain channels.
Consider upgrading firmware if a newer version exists.
If it still doesn't work, then try a factory reset. Write down the settings and re-enter them by hand. Do not use a backed up configuration file; it may be corrupted.
Good luck.

Make sure you have entered the correct Wi-Fi password to connect to the 2.4 GHz network. It may be different from the 5 GHz network.
Note: The 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks are bridged together, so it's not necessary to be on the same band in order to connect to your printer. You didn't specify the model of your router but you may have to disable wireless isolation before this will work.
