wireless no longer available from router, model R6020, the AC750

Google suggests that it could be any number of devices.
Was told that the NG was pulling in all kinds of mac addresses. There was no further explanation, I was told to contact Netgear, something about a bridgeport or bridgemode setting had been triggered. Only NG can help with this.
That is the usual ISP response, blame the router. But there are clues in there.
If your ISP provides a combined modem/router, then you are trying to get two routers to work together, Bad idea.
Two routers on your network can cause headaches. For example, you can end up with local problems with address on your network. Among other things, the other router can misdirect addresses that the Netgear router usually handles, such as routerlogin.net or the usual default IP address for a router, 192.168.1.1.

Unless you have specific reasons for using two routers – to create two separate networks for example – it is often easier to use just one router and then to set up the second router as a wifi access point (AP) with a wired connection to the main router. Netgear advises this, as does just about every site you will visit.
It may be possible to put the modem/router into modem only (bridge) mode and then to use the second device as the router. Sometimes it is easier to put the second router into AP mode. But that has its own drawbacks:

How fast is the Internet speed you pay for? If it is anywhere near 100 Mbps, you are wasting money using the R6020
According to Netgear's manual for this device, not always the most reliable source of information, the LAN and WAN ports support only 10BASE-T or 100BASE-TX. That makes it slower than many newer internet services and most modern network hardware.
