Let's break down this to a few simple steps:
No need to change cabling, keep the AP on the PoE (that's not PPPoE) switch. First you need to find the AP(s) LAN IP adress(es). And oyu need to know the username and the password in place on these devices. At this point, you use a Web browser accessing the AP LAN IP address (your router DHCP table/connected devices does show the access points MAC address and the assigned IP address), enter the username and password, ... and change the config accordingly.

thanks for your response on this;
I do know the IP addresses for both units and the username and passwords.
My problem is that searching for the IP address on any browser fails?
There are a couple of solutions offered by the browser/s which involve either adusting/removing my firewall and or altering Proxy settings?
I've now tried everything and still no luck.
I can look at connected devices through my PC settings and I can see that the WAP's are connected and I know they work.
But the PC tells me that the units are not responding to attempts to connect.
I have removed both units from thier deployment locations now and connected them directly to the PC AND OR my router via an ethernet cable; both become active, but I still cannot connect to make any adjustment?
Frustratingly, both units appear to be working OK, apart from this connection issue?
Dyou think this may be simply due to thier age and lack of firmware updates?
Any suggestions would be very welcome.
