I attached pic of quick setup guide I used. Hope this will help clarify. I would think this way isn't what the call 1 tap setup, but then again this is all foreign to me. Sorry, I'm not very helpful. Thank you for your patience, and willingness to try to help me with this!
Are you using any special characters or spaces in the primary routers ssid or password?
If so try removing them. Where does it fail exactly in the process?
I'd also try doing it on a pc and not using a phone.
- No special characters or spaces. It's the pw that it came with when purchased. I did reset extender, and tried setting it up through my laptop. I get through the entire process. Put my router pw in as extenders pw. Once that's done, it won't connect to internet.
Did you ever say what the modem is in front of your router?
I can't see it at a quick glance.

I think I FINALLY figured it out, and have it connected. I had to turn my mobile data off on my phone during the setup. Once I did that, I was finally able to complete the setup, and extender seems to be working great thus far. Thank s for responding, and help. Much appreciated!
