My router is a NetGear N600 Wireless Dual Band Router.
I think I FINALLY figured it out, and have it connected. I had to turn my mobile data off on my phone during the setup. Once I did that, I was finally able to complete the setup, and extender seems to be working great thus far. Thank s for responding, and help. Much appreciated!

You said that before. From your subject, what you really have is the WNDR3400v3, from 2014 based on a modem first released in 2010.
N600 is a wifi speed indicator. Netgear has made dozens of N300s over the years, although not for quite some time. Your router seems to be one of the last to describe itself in that way.
The question was about your modem, the thing that sites between the router and the Internet.
