WNDR3400 doesn't see My Book
Hi,
I connected a new My Book 4TB HDD to my router via USB but it doesn't appear in ReadyShare. Light of the USB on the router isn't illuminated. When I connect the HDD directly to my laptop it is immediately recognized.
Needless to say that I don't see it in Windows either.
File system is NFTS.

Which one?
Does it appear anywhere in this list?

Some routers do accept some 4 TB drives. This may mean that your drive will work in other devices. But the WNDR3400 is a seriously old (2010) router that may not support newer USB drives. It certainly does not appear in that list. The original (V1 hardware) version hasn't had a firmware update for five years or so.

I have the WNDR3400v3.
In this list the My Book 3TB is mentioned but not the 4TB. But it also only mentions the WD Elements 500G and I've tested the USB connection with a WD Elements 1TB version (that isn't mentioned) and that one initializes and appears in ReadyShare.
