WNDR3400v2 MY ROUTER'S ORIGINAL NETWORK STOPPED SHOWING

MY ROUTER'S ORIGINAL NETWORK STOPPED SHOWING ON THE LIST OF ROUTERS ALTHOUGH NETWORKS ASSOCIATED WITH MY EXTENDER (SAME COMPANY AS ROUTER) AND MAY BE INTERFERING WITH   MY PRINTER'S CONNECTION AND RECONNECTION WITH INSTANT INK, WHICH I'VE HAD A LONG TIME. EVEN INSTANT INK AGENTS WITH REMOTE ATTEMPTS TO FIX IT HAVEN'T WORKED. I TRIED TO ADD THE ORIGINAL NETWORK HAS NOT WORKED. PLEASE NOTE THAT THINS WERE WORKING  DESPITE HAVING 2.4 GHZ AND 5G. MY INTERNET PROVDER WOUDN'T ATTEMPT ANY FIX BECAUSE I  I  HAVE THE SEPARATE NETGEAR ROUTER INSTEAD OF THEIR MODEM/ROUTER. SIMILARLY INSTANT INK AGENTS WON'T GO BEYOND MY COMPUTER TO MY ROUTER AND UPDATING THE ROUTER'S WARANTY  IS TOO EXPENSIVE WITH NO GUARANTIIES OFFERED. IS IT TIME FOR THE "FACTRY RESET" OR A NEW/REPLACEMENT ROUTER?  PLEASE HELP...

    Calm down.

    Turn off the CAPSLOCK key.

Take us through your problem a step at a time.

    Leave out the narrative.

    But first, maybe try this:

    Visit the support pages:

Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.

Check the section in the manual on troubleshooting.

Don't expect much with the WNDR3400v2. It dates back to 2013, and has ancient technology. According to Netgear's manual for this device, not always the most reliable source of information, the LAN and WAN ports support only 10BASE-T or 100BASE-TX. That makes it slower than many newer internet services and most modern network hardware. This may not matter to you, but be warned that it will hobble you if you ever sign up for faster Internet, anything faster than 100 Mbps is a waste of your money.

It also slows down whatever is going on in your local network. Newer devices support at least 1000BASE-TX.
