WNDR3400v3 Can't connect any device to 2.4GHz
As of a couple days ago I haven't been able to get any device to connect to the 2.4ghz network. The router is WNDR3400v3 on the latest firmware. I've tried power cycling all devices. Tried changing channels. Tried changing the passkey. Nothing seems to work.
The 5ghz and wired connections are still working. Oddly enough, when I tried making it a public network (removing the passkey) the devices seemed to connect without issue.
Any help is appreciated.

The 2.4 GHz LED is on?
Have you reset the WNDR3400v3 and set it up from scratch?
The first WNDR3400 came put in 2010. You have a 2014 version. Maybe it is just dying of old age. It has "vintage" network technology. Wifi standards that are now superseded – certainly not the AC routers covered in this section – not to mention LAN/WAN ports stuck it 100 Mbps, against 1000Mbps, the industry standard for more than a decade. Fine of you still have slow Internet, but a bottleneck if you get anywhere near 100 Mbps or above.
what error do you get when you try?
they can connect without the passkey?
Might try reinstalling the firmware and then doing a factory reset, reinstall. its quite old device, maybe something is corrupt in the firmware/settings.- benite02Aspirant
