WNDR3400v3 dual band - devices not connecting to 2.4ghz with passcode off
I have the router WNDR3400v3 and up until last night my 2.4ghz internet was working with one of my laptops connected to it, now nothing can connect to it. My router Firmware Version is V1.0.1.4_1.0.5...
reset the router by holding down the power button and that fixed everything
Tonight, I've updated the router firmware to V1.0.1.4, power cycled and rebooted the router at least 5 times in an attempt to get my devices to connect to the 2.4ghz to no avail. I knocked the firmware back to V1.0.1.2 and still having the same problem.
My Xbox 360 which is connected to the router via hardline is fine.
My Macbook pro & my fire stick are connected to the passcode protected 5G wireless without issue.
My Kindle, 1st gen chromecast, Kindle, and HTC M8 (which needs to be on the same wireless to connect to chromecast) cannot connect to the 2.4 ghz wireless as long as a passcode is enabled.
If I switch my HTC to the 5G, there is no issue connecting.
I have the exact same problem if I create a guest network using my current settings.
