WNDR3700 Windows 10 Driver

I own a Netgear WNDR3700 wireless router purchased in March, 2010. I am hoping to use the router with my new Windows 10 PC. (I am currently using an old PC running Windows 7). I have two questions:

1. Can I successfully use the WNDR3700 with Windows 10?

2. Which Windows 10 driver should I use? There are two available on the Netgear site - WNDR3700v4 and WNDR3700v5. The label on my router just says WNDR3700. There is no version number indicated.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

       You can hope.

"The latest" is a good place to start, but a quick skim through these
forums for a model like "R7000" can find abundant problem reports
related to "the latest firmware" for that model, including many
recommendations to use the third previous version, as being the latest
    one which actually works.

If you see problems after a firmware change, then some reversion may
    be desirable.

       I don't see why not.

Huh?  "Windows 10 driver"?  Which?  For what?

"There are two" _what_ "available" where, exactly, "on the Netgear
    site"?

If so, then it should be a "v1" (WNDR3700[v1]). Until a "v2" exists,
    they don't mention "v1".

Do you mean router firmware (which is generally unrelated to the OS
on your computer), or what?  For router firmware, visit
http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look for
Downloads.  (For older versions, under Firmware and Software Downloads,
look for "View Previous Versions".)  Find the kit(s).  Download the
kit(s) you want.  Read the "Release Notes" file for instructions.

Thanks so much for your complete answer and the link to the support page. That page has firmware downloads and has a support page for WNDR3700v1. I assume I should download the latest firmware update - right?

They had a page that listed WiFi routers, and it only listed v4 and v5.

Thanks for directing ting me to the v1 download.
