New to this stuff Have run DNS resolution tests on 2 computers on same router one says using internal dns 192.168.1.1 & the other a level3 communications server 4.2.2.1 resolvers.level3.net The i...

Whoops ! Turns out during a tech mainteanace activity the DNS search was converted from automatic to manual with 4.2.2.1 as IP . Not sure if this was the cause of delays but highly likely

What's the OS of the two computers?
Are the DNS addresses assigned statically or dynamically?
Try flush dns command on the computer that has a slow connection.

You may go to the command prompt and type ipconfig /flushdns then hit enter.
