WNDR3700v3 slow wifi

Hi there,

 

Experiencing very slow wifi connection over 2.4 and 5 Ghz. Speed measured using Ookla speed test

Wired ISP speed: ~310 / 10 Mb (download/upload)

 Wired from the router: ~295/ 11 Mb

Wifi 2.4G: 3.95 / 1.9 Mb - least corwded channel - 11

Wifi 5G: 24.75 / 12.01 - also using least crowded channel - 161

 

FW version: V1.0.0.42_1.0.33 ( also tried to roll back to 1.0.0.38 - no improvements)

 

Tried all the basic stuff like rebooting, trying different devices, different channels, firmware rollback, reset defaults(only with name and security type change), etc.

 

Security type: WPA2-PSK on both 2.4 and 5 GHz

Bunch of features like readyShare, guest wifi (which actually doesn't work), UPnP, etc are off - only the basic things are on.

 

Any other suggestions. Did a day of googling tried suggested answered. Funny enough some of them are with status "solved" and the solution was "I bought a new wifi card", or "got R7800" - which are not the things I need,

 

Anything I'm missing? Why would the speed be so slow?
