Thanks, but I've sorted the problem.
Decided to go right back and do a factory reset because it was probably the only thing I hadn't tried. This resolved the problem.
In regard to NAS - I previously had a MyBookWorld NAS storage device and found it to be very troublesome. OK it's a lot faster, but since the drive is mainly used for automatic backups of connected computers, speed wasn't so important as reliability.

Jun 25, 2016Not the answer you're looking but, When you get angry enough you'll dump ready share and buy a NAS. Try reformatting drive while connected to new router. Make sure your HOMEWORK is selected in windows.
