WNDR4300 as repeater / range extender
I just got a modem with buildt in router from my internet supplier (ZyXEL P8702N). The wifi range is not covering the whole house. I have a Netgear WNDR4300 router that is not in use, and wonder if I can set it up as a wireless repeater / range extender?
Netgear routers make poor repeaters/range extenders. Those that even support it can only do so without the benefit of WPA/WPA2 security. You can, instead, use the WNDR4300 as a wired Access Point. If running a wire is impractical, then get a real range extender.
