WNDR4300 not able to setup time machine
I have looked up at Netgear and see that the WNDR4300 is time machine happy but it does not show up in time machine list. Need to know how or do I need to buy an new router? I did try an older apple ...

Hi, It did not work or even show up noe the network. Moving on no more wast of time with Netgear stuff.

I have done it all but still will not show up for time machine. I can see other wise. I think it worked once when I first got it but now nothing. Still think Netgear put something out that it does not really do. Have all updates done to it.

Another thing you can do is to reinstall the firmware then do a factory reset after.
Once done, reconfigure the router settings to get back the Internet connection.

Did try it and nothing. I did check with ohers and same thing. This one says it will work but it does not. OK witih me I'll just go back to apple things as I know they will work. Will think twice before getting another Netgear Router. Thanks for the help.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
Try the following reset instructions below and then reconfigure the router.
1. With the unit powered on, press and hold the reset button on the back of unit for 30seconds.
2. Without releasing the reset button, unplug the unit and hold reset for another 30 seconds.
3. Power on the unit while STILL pushing the reset button and count for another 30 seconds before letting it go.
