WNDR4300 not able to setup time machine
I have looked up at Netgear and see that the WNDR4300 is time machine happy but it does not show up in time machine list. Need to know how or do I need to buy an new router? I did try an older apple ...

Hi, It did not work or even show up noe the network. Moving on no more wast of time with Netgear stuff.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
Try the following reset instructions below and then reconfigure the router.
1. With the unit powered on, press and hold the reset button on the back of unit for 30seconds.
2. Without releasing the reset button, unplug the unit and hold reset for another 30 seconds.
3. Power on the unit while STILL pushing the reset button and count for another 30 seconds before letting it go.

You did not have the answer and I have moved on so do not take the credit as you were wrong!!!!!!!
I should not need a new router as this one said it could do the job but Netgear did not have good software and programing setup right in the fist place. You really need to read what people say. I'm done with Netgear stuff and finding better items to use.
This Question was not answered as this model does not do time machine backups.
