WNDR4300V2 Bridge or repeater?
I'm setting up wired cameras in our dog kennel. I have a wireless link between the house and the kennel already. I have one WNDR4300V2 in the house, and I've purchased another for the kennel. Can I set up the second router as a bridge (repeater)? I'm able to do the work if someone can walk me through it, but I have no clue where to start! The wireless link only has (1) ethernet connection (which I have been using with just one camera until I was told I needed more by my wife...) Is there a better solution? I'm open to suggestions/directions! The wireless link is a Ubiquiti nanostation, if that helps...
Netgear routers don't work well or at all as repeaters. It sounds like you already have an extender in the kennel. Set up your second router as an Access Point. The setting is under ADVANCED > Advanced Setup > Wireless AP. Then connect the router to the Ethernet connection. Connect your cameras to Ethernet ports on the router.
