WNDR4500 and AVG - Netgear usb control center issue

Hello,

I would like to print from my laptop via wifi > usb on an Brother printer.

The printer is connected to the usb port in the WNDR4500 router

Since I've installed AVG Ultimate due to the firewall the window of Netgear USB Control Center remains empty.

When I close the firewall the printer appears.

Firewall settings changed to interactive and still no printer in the NUCC screen.

How can I solve this?

Must I set an exception rule?

If so, what does it look like?

Note:  Printing via wifi > USB port in router is possible from two other computers in the network with windows firewall on.

  • Hello ElaineM,

    Thank you for your reply.

I just solved the problem by adding the IP number of the router in the white list of AVG firewall.

    Best regards,

    Hans

    Hello AbcHans

    Welcome to the community!

You mus allow the program under the AVG settings.

See this link from AVG on how to allow it.
