WNR 614, can I reset my router with previous network name and Network Password for a reason?

I wanted to reset the router for a reason and after re-configuring, would like to set the same network name and same network password so that my current connected users can be connected automatically. I don't want to let them know that the router was reset. Will this work?

       Thanks for the detailed explanation.

After the settings reset, if you configure the router with the old
wireless SSID, passphrase, and encryption scheme ("Security Options"),
then a client device which could connect before should still be able to
    connect.

In many cases, changing the encryption scheme wouldn't matter much,
but some very old client device might have trouble if you changed the
router from WPA to WPA2, and the device didn't support WPA2.
