WnR1000 I forgot my password and I need to connect to new iPhone
I don't remember my password. When I use default one, it just asks for PW again. I want to put my new iPhone on Wifi. How can I retrieve my password? Thanks!

I assume that you mean wifi password rather than the one needed to get in to configure the WnR1000.
When faced with those "forgot my password" issues, the only solution is usually to reset the thing back to the factory defaults.
There will be instructions on how to do that in the manual.

You were absolutely correct. The only thing that finally worked was to reset the router back to factory setting. Thanks!

Glad it worked.
Depending on your hardware (I don't own a WNR1000), you may be able to retrieve the wifi passphrase in the router's web interface.
You can also see if the Netgear Genie (the standalone utility rather than the web interface of the same name) shows it.
Some of this stuff may not work with older routers. The WNR1000 seems to date back to 2009, which is why it has a slow wifi link.
