wnr2000v3 repeater function

We just finished a new addition to our house, and have poor signal there and no acceptable ( to the designer wife) location to relocate our existing ASUS router. I also have an N300 WNR 2000 V3 that my father had been using.

 

Before I buy anything, can this router be used as a repeater or range extender, and how?

    If it did you wouldn't like the results. What are you trying to do in the addition area?

      Just basic connectivity for phone and iPad, nothing much.
