The power light has been amber since we bought it. No I can't log into the router. Yes I was connected with Ethernet cord. Yes wired connection worked my operating system is windows 10. What the heckl is Syslog? Yes I reset many times. I've spent so much time trying to figure out if it actually die. Some where along the netgear website line it told me the actual words "end of life". I went and bought a new router.

How do you connect your laptop to the router (wired or wireless)?

What's the operating system of the laptop?

You said, you get internet when you plug into the router, is this with the use of an ethernet cable?

I'm connected to the router with ethernet cord wich inturn the router is connected to the cable/internet modem.
for the 2 yrs I've had the router i've always connected wireless. I have a toshsiba satellite c55series.with windows 10 which i updated to about

  First what is visual indication? All LED indicators look normal? Is your power adapter OK? Can you log into the router? Is the wlreless still
  on? Checked the syslog? Reset the router? Does wired connection work?
